our vision

As we are rebuilding after the rollercoaster of the last couple of years, we are prayerfully seeking God for our vision and mission plan for the next few years.  As we seek to capture this fresh vision for the 2020s, we will be guided by five core values that shape who we are called to be at Christ Church.

WORSHIP

We are called to be a gathering of worshippers, who express heartfelt and passionate praise to God, both on Sundays at our gathered congregations and through the week.  Our worship seeks to be Christ-focused, Spirit-filled, and seeker-friendly.

WELCOME

We are called to be a church where all people - whatever their background, experience, age, culture, or class – can find a place of welcome, belonging, friendship and fellowship, to create a loving family of Christ-centred disciples

WITNESS

We are called to share the good news of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection with the town community, and bear witness to his life and love.  We are called to both SHARE the love of God in our words and evangelism and SHOW the love of God in our actions and compassion.

WALK WITH CHRIST

We are called to grow more like Jesus, developing their life of worship and prayer.  We’re called to discover the unique gifts of the Spirit God has given us to serve others in the church.  And grow the fruit of the Spirit, which is the character of Christ in us.

WOKING and the WORLD

We are called to play its part in the shared witness to Jesus in the town, alongside our partner churches in the area.  We seek to bless, support and pray for our neighbouring churches.  And we are called to play our part in supporting our mission partners around the world.
